Part 1 (pp3-58) is devoted to construction techniques, while part 2 (p59-214) presents 30 sets of plans reproduced full size for 1/1200 models, each accompanied by photographs of the ship and a brief life history.  9.50

Fine in a Very Good+ dust wrapper.  "Every aspect of scale model electric tramways is discussed and their general layout, arrangement, construction and chief components are examined in detail."  4.95

Mason L C  Scale Model Traction Engine Building featuring Minnie, Model & Allied Publications, 1971, pp200 with pp32 of illustrations.  Hb.  VG in a VG dust wrapper.  The dust wrapper is protected with a clear adhesive covering.  Describes the construction of the freelance one-inch to the foot scale model traction engine, Minnie.  All the drawings and diagrams necessary for the model are included in the text.  32.50

McCaffery, Lloyd  Ships in Miniature: A New Manual for Modelmakers, Conway, 2001, pp144.  Hb.  VG/VG+.  A clear and detailed exposition of the author's techniques for making miniature ship models.  Since its first publication in 1988, Ships in Miniature has become the standard reference manual for all practising and aspirational shipwrights.  8.50

Morton, Ian  Road Vehicles for Model Railways, IA, 2007, pp80.  Well-illustrated in colour throughout. Aspects of Modelling Series.  Large Format.  Card Covers.  Very Good.  A very welcome book on this neglected aspect of railway modelling.  3.95

Smith, Andrew  Building a Vertical Steam Engine from Castings, TEE Publishing, 1995, pp64.  First published in 1977.  Constructional details by Andrew Smith, revised by Pengwern.  Card Covers.  VG.  Describes the building of the Stuart 10V stationary engine, a classic model that remains one of the most popular choices for hobbyists starting out in the fascinating world of model engineering.  5.95

Stride, Malcolm  Miniature Internal Combustion Engines, The Crowood Press, 2007, pp176.  Hb.  Fine in a VG+ dust wrapper.  Describes the techniques involved in producing all the components required for an internal combustion engine, and, where possible, photographs of actual set-ups have been used to illustrate the processes described.  12.50

Wingrove, Gerald A  The Model Cars of Gerald Wingrove, New Cavendish, 1979, pp112 with 134 illustrations including 50 full colour illustrations.  Large landscape format Hb.  VG+ in a VG dust wrapper with a one-inch tear to the front page of the dust wrapper.  Gerald Wingrove relates the story behind his model cars, although for many it will be the superb colour illustrations of his models that provide the main attraction of this book.  12.50

Wingrove, Gerald A  The Complete Car Modeller 2, Haynes, 1991, pp128.  Foreword by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu.  Large Format.  Glazed boards with dw.  VG in a VG dust wrapper.  There is a tiny tear in the dust wrapper at the base of the spine.  Gerald Wingrove shares the secrets of his model car building craft using as an example the fabulous Weinberger Bugatti Royale.  10.50
