A 1962 Canadian Rule Book that applied to all the major Canadian railways including the Canadian Pacific and Canadian National.  £4.95

An album devoted to the Canadian Pacific's famous Kettle Valley line in Southern British Columbia.  £5.95

Doeksen, Corwin and Doeksen, Gerry  Railways of the West Kootenay Part 1: Railways of Western Canada Vol.2, author, 2nd edition 1991, pp64.  The much expanded second edition.  Old price tag on the rear cover.  Large Format.  Card Covers.  VG.  An album depicting the railways in the West Kootenay area of British Columbia. This volume deals with the Slocan and Arrowhead areas north of Nelson and south of Revelstoke. Unusually tug propelled barges were used as lake-based train ferries to connect different parts of the system.  £5.95

Doeksen G  Railways of the Boundary: Railways of Western Canada Vol.4, author, 1985, pp44.  Large Format.  Card Covers.  VG.  Vol.4 is an extension of Vol.3 and covers the CPR southern lines after they were extended to Grand Forks, Midway and Phoenix in 1900.  £6.95

Doeksen G  Railways of the West Kootenay Part 3: Railways of Western Canada Vol.5, author, 1988, pp48.  Large Format.  Card Covers.  VG.  Vol.5 depicts the operations of the Great Northern Railway and the Burlington Northern Railway in British Columbia.  The emphasis is on the West Kootenay. Operations of the Spokane Falls and Northern Railway, Nelson and Fort Sheppard Railway and the Red Mountain Railway are included.  £6.95

Garden J F  Nicholas Morant's Canadian Pacific, Footprint Publishing, 1991, pp455.  Large landscape format.  Hard Cover.  Very Good in a Very Good dust wrapper.  There is a one cm tear to the lower edge of the dust wrapper.  Nicolas Morant was employed as a photographer by the Canadian Pacific for some 44 years in a career spanning the great depression, the Second World War, the Cold War, the end of steam and the end of the company operated passenger services. This books presents a selection of his photographs spanning the years 1929 to 1981. A very substantial volume weighing over 2Kg.  £24.50

Kelly, Brian and Francis, Daniel  Transit in British Columbia: The First Hundred Years, Harbour Publishing, 1990, pp150.  Large Format.  Hard Cover.  VG- in a Fair+ dust wrapper.  Remains of an old bar code on the spine. Although completely hidden by the dust wrapper, there is a significant - if superficial - score mark down the front cover.  The dust wrapper itself has been internally repaired down the spine and at the top of the rear dust wrapper fold.  An illustrated history covering "Street Railways," "Interurbans," Buses and "Trolleys."  £7.50

Kennedy W G  Canadian Pacific's Rossland Subdivision, Calgary Group of the British Railway Modellers of North America, 1983, pp26.  Large landscape format.  Card Covers.  Very Good.  The Rossland subdivision is situated in the West Kootenay District of southern British Columbia, some 250 miles due east of Vancouver.  Pictorial with extended captions.  £5.95

Kennedy W G  Canadian Pacific in Southern British Columbia: The Boundary Subdivision, British Railway Modellers of North America, 1986, pp30.  Official Photocopy Reprint.  Large landscape format. Stapled paper covers.  Near VG.  Slight wear to the covers.  Pictorial with extended captions.  The Boundary Division stretches 126.6 miles from Nelson to Midway.  £3.95

The picture are from the 1987 - 1990 period.  £5.95

Knowles, Valerie  From Telegrapher to Titan: The Life of William C. Van Horne, The Dundurn Group, 2004, pp501.  Hard Cover.  VG in a VG dust wrapper.  The remarkable biography of the man who was the driving force behind the construction of the Canadian Pacific.  £12.50

Lavallee, Omer  Van Horne's Road: An illustrated account of the construction and first years of operation of the Canadian Pacific transcontinental railway, Railfare, 1977, pp304 with 460 illustrations and forty maps & diagrams.  First published in 1974.  Large Format Hb.  VG in a VG dust wrapper. Careful examination reveals that this is an ex-library book with a pastedown inside the rear cover instead of the more usual position at the front. There is also a narrow vertical strip of wear inside both the front and rear covers caused by the removal of sellotape which was once used to hold an old protective covering of the dust wrapper in place.  Finally, there is a one-inch internally-repaired tear in the dust wrapper at the base of the spine.  £8.50
