Lake in December 1939 - perhaps not the ideal time to start a new magazine. In August 1952 the title was changed to Railway World and in 1960 the title was acquired by the Ian Allan. The last issue of Railway World appeared in February 2003, although the magazine was immediately re-launched the following month as Railways Illustrated. Railway World Individual Issues None at present.
