Edwards, Dennis and Pigram, Ron  Metro Memories: A Pictorial History of Metroland, Bloomsbury Books, 1988, pp128.  First published by Midas Books with glazed boards in 1977, this is the later edition with a dust wrapper.  Large Format Hb.  Fine in a VG dust wrapper.  There is a one-cm tear along bottom edge of the dust wrapper with a tiny sliver of the dust wrapper absent.  An armchair odyssey through the countryside served by the Metropolitan Railway.  £3.95

Ellis, C Hamilton  The Trains We Loved, Allen & Unwin, 1st edition 1947, pp196 plus 8 coloured reproductions of Hamilton Ellis paintings.  Bookplate.  Hb.  VG- in a Poor dust wrapper.  With slight loss of colour along the edges of the covers, wear to the corners, and foxing to the page edges.  The dust wrapper is badly torn and incomplete, with the rear flap detached.  One of the first railway books that so many of us read; it is hard to believe that it was first published in 1947.  £3.95
